About
Thunder Valley Precision is the premier firearms training and competition facility in the Midwest. Situated on over 200 acres of rolling hills in beautiful Southeastern Ohio, TVP boasts a pavilion covering 20 concrete shooting platforms with steel targets from 100 yards to over a mile. We also feature at least a dozen other shooting positions around the property where acquisition and engagement of targets ranging from less than 200 to well over 1000 yards will challenge you. Multiple courses of fire are available for training, competition, and skill building for enthusiasts as well as military/LE personnel.
Weekly competitions take place throughout the season at the club level in addition to sanctioned Benchrest, PRS series, and Sniper tournaments.
Training classes with diverse content including Precision Reloading, Rifle Tuning, Data Acquisition, and Long-Range Rifle Skills are offered year-round.
Owner-Operator Tom Sarver (world record-holder in IBS 1000 yard light rifle) is also a world-class gunsmith, offering custom state of the art shooting systems equipped with the latest optics and accessories.

$30/DAY PER SHOOTER (OPEN RANGE DAYS)
TVP is currently open to the public on OPEN RANGE days noted on our schedule. You DO NOT have to be a member to shoot on Open Range days.
Open Range FEES include access to all Shooting Ranges listed above at TVP.
3D ARCHERY is a separate fee and schedule.
SHOOTING RANGE RULES:
SAFETY IS OUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY!
-Bolts open, out, and/or chamber flags in BEFORE rifles are brought onto TVP property and/or removed from vehicles and gun cases. This also applies to anytime you are away from the firing line here at TVP.
-If the range is wet and muddy for matches, we will walk.
-Police up your own brass and place in containers provided. DO NOT REMOVE BRASS THAT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU. MANDATORY BRASS CATCHERS! (If you are not reloading/collecting your brass)
-No .50 cal. BMG at this time for Open Range. NEW .50 CAL. CLUB…….

-No TRACERS, GREEN TIPS, STEEL CORE or API EVER on TVP property.
-No smoking under the pavilion. To help us keep our facility clean, PLEASE do not toss butts onto the range property-dispose of them properly.
-If other shooters complain or report to me or a TVP Range Safety Officer that you are being unsafe, you will get one warning.
-The 2nd offense – you will be asked to leave.
-The Range Safety Officer is in charge if I’m not present. What he says goes. Don’t argue with the Range Safety Officers.
